In the first ever Bums Hockey Holiday Classic Team Bums took the win over Les Clochards in a hard fought 9-8 win at Total Mortgage Arena. On Sunday December 15th the New York Bums will hold the first ever Bums Hockey Holiday Classic at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport Connecticut home of the Bridgeport Islanders the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders. The New York Bums took on the Danbury Crackin’ on Saturday January 6th at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport Ct. This exhibition game marked the second outing in team history, coming off a 1-2 performance at the Slapshot Cup in Johnstown Pa. The Danbury Crackin’ lead by Ron Quinn were heading into the game hot winning two games in their DAHL winter season. The Crackin’ their previous season lost to the Pirates in the DAHL semifinal. The game started off with both teams applying pressure, it was Danbury who broke the scoreless game by getting one late in the first and that was all they needed, the Bums were offense was held off and the Crackin’ were able to tack on 5 more to win the game 6-0.
